My journey in the industry began in 2004 after completing a Master Degree in Business  Administration. I started my career as a Research Officer in the Ministry of Industries & Production, where I spent four years. The portfolio of this job has provided an opportunity to understand the value chain, manufacturing and supply chain of the light engineering industry. In 2008, I joined Pakistan Hunting & Sporting Arms Development Company, first as Deputy Manager Marketing and then as Manager and Head of Marketing. These early years shaped my interest regarding the untapped potential of the knife industry in the global supply chain.


In 2010, I stepped directly into the knife industry and entered the USA market. From 2011 to 2015, I focused entirely on selling knives in the United States, learning customer needs, quality standards, and market trends. In 2014, this experience evolved into the establishment of Knives Ranch Inc. a brand of semi customs knives dedicated to handmade artisan of workhorse standards at affordable cost.


In 2016 I established Mumtaz Engineering, an exclusive manufacturing facility dedicated to fulfill the supplies of Knives Ranch Inc. At Mumtaz Engineering all the processes of Damascus steel forging and knife making are performed in house. As the industry shifted toward digital growth, I founded Mumtaz Tech in 2022, a separate company dedicated to online business, digital marketing, and e-commerce.


Alongside my professional journey, I’ve remained actively involved in industry development and leadership roles. Besides being the founding member, I am working as Senior Vice Chairman of Hunting & Sporting Knives, Swords & Accessories Association of Pakistan (HSKAAP), This is a non-profit organization working to support and uplift knife, sword, and blade manufacturing sector. From 2023 to 2025, I served as the Vice President of the Board of Management, Jhelum Small Industrial Area, supporting local manufacturers and craftsmen. Due to my contributions, I was re-elected and am serving my second term as Vice President from 2025 to 2027.
